UCT Libraries will be hosting Glen Worthey, Digital Humanities Librarian at Stanford University Libraries, during several digital scholarship workshop sessions to which you are invited. Topics under discussion include: Digital Humanities: Histories and Institutions, Digital Humanities in the Library and Digital Humanities in Society.

Glen Worthey is the Digital Humanities Librarian in the Stanford University Libraries, where he is a member of Humanities Text Services (hText) and head of the Digital Initiatives Group (DIG). In the big, wide DH world, he is a member of the executive boards of the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Consortium and of the Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH), as well as deputy secretary of the Steering Committee of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO). He was one of the local hosts of the Digital Humanities 2011 conference at Stanford.
