Comment on the update of the City’s Freight Management Strategy

The City of Cape Town requests comments on the Draft Updated Freight Management Strategy, 24 February-31 March 2026. The Strategy "envisions all freight transport in and around Cape Town to be safe, efficient, and reliable, serving the needs of the local and regional economy without compromising the access and mobility needs of fellow road and rail users.

Freight transport is an enabler of the region’s economy, facilitating the movement of goods that support trade, industry, and local livelihoods and needs."
