Draft National Policy Framework for Heritage Memorialization

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has published the Draft National Policy Framework for Heritage Memorialization for comment. The Department states that a national policy is "required to assist the Department, together with its various partners and stakeholders, to better articulate the linkages, integration, and alignment with other forms of legacy and memorialization work being done.  The policy should refocus efforts and improve the implementation of the original legacy project concept framework but also broaden this framework to better articulate its impact and the response to what the National Development Plan (NDP) calls for."
