The Minister of Basic Education has published a "Call for Written Submissions on Amendment of the Children’s Act, 1996 (Act No. 27 of 1996) on Early Childhood Development in Order to Streamline Regulations for the ECD Sector." The draft Children's Amendment Bill has been published in the Government Gazette of 14 May 2024.
