Electricity Pricing Policy Review

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has published the Electricity Pricing Policy Review for comment. Cabinet stated that "The revised EPP seeks to strike a balance in providing affordable electricity tariffs for low-income consumers and a cost-reflective electricity tariff for all other consumers." The EPP Review has been published in Government Gazette no. 45899 of 10 February 2022. This Gazette is not yet available on the Department's webpage nor the South African Government website nor the Government Printing Works website.
