Report on the High Level Public Inquiry on the Impact of Rural Land Use and Ownership Patterns on Human Rights
The South African Human Rights Commission has released the Report on the High Level Public Inquiry on the Impact of Rural Land Use and Ownership Patterns on Human Rights. "the Commission decided not to replicate what it has done in the past or what other entities are currently doing, but instead sought to complement these efforts by adopting a rights-based approach. In this inquiry, the Commission sought to apply a human rights lens to the issue of land to identify the human rights impact that current land use and ownership patterns have on individuals and communities in rural areas."
