The Tourism Satellite Account for South Africa, final 2015 and provisional 2016 and 2017 "covers updated and new provisional figures for the reference years 2016 and 2017 as well as the final results for 2015. It provides an overview of the role that tourism plays in South Africa and provides information on the contribution by tourism to the South African economy in terms of expenditure and employment. The TSA is one element of a System of Tourism Statistics (STS) that provides information for the understanding and monitoring of the impact of tourism on the South African economy over time. The other elements of the STS for South Africa include the surveys of international visitors and domestic visitors, visitor arrival statistics, tourist accommodation, and food and beverage statistics."
