The key findings of the Tourism, 2015 report are: "The total number of foreign travellers who visited South Africa from Africa, overseas and unspecified countries, arriving through all ports of entry during 2015 was 15 051 826. The 2015 figure represents a decrease of 0,3% as compared with the 2014 figure of 15 092 016. During 2015, 5 401 696 arrivals were recorded for South African residents while the total number of those departing was 5 414 362 and South African residents in transit were 9 760. In 2015, a total of 13 951 901 visitors came to South Africa, of which 5 048 128 are same day visitors and 8 903 773 are tourists (overnight visitors).The breakdown of tourists by sex and age is as follows: 4 962 730 were males, 3 941 026 were females and 17 tourists did not specify their sex; 491 273 were less than 15 years, 7 972 742 were aged 15-64, 439 758 were aged 65+."
