The Presidency has noted the report submitted to the Speaker of the National Assembly by the independent panel established in terms of Section 89 of the Constitution.

The Report of the Section 89 Independent Panel appointed to conduct a preliminary enquiry on the motion proposing a Section 89 Enquiry "concerns the question whether sufficient evidence exists to show that the President has committed a serious violation of the Constitution or the law, or a serious misconduct."
