Audio Tour: Stop 4

This section is located on Student Extension 4. Here you will find the shelves that house part of the library’s collection which you’re more than welcome to browse. These shelves include the subjects of maths, physics, biology, engineering and more.

There are also computers for you to use and numerous desks and study spaces tucked away, as well as toilets next to the lift. You may spot a library buddy walking around in this area too, so please feel free to ask them for any assistance – no matter where you are in the library.

Also note, that there are the offices of the library’s Principal librarians along the wall directly across from the stairs. If you feel like studying in a separate space, you’re welcome to use one of the single-person study rooms found along the wall. Also, make sure to keep an eye out for the puzzle and chess stations across the library, these are free for you to use whenever you need a break.

Now let's move up the stairs to the Terrace.

The Terrace has even more desks to study at and shelves to browse. These shelves include the subjects of economics, philosophy, media, and religion. Even better, the Terrace is home to our Recreational Reading collection at the far end of the floor. We’ve got everything from Circe to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to Atlas Shrugged. There’s also a chess set, so feel free to park and relax.

To move on to the next stop, take the stairs behind you or the lift into Hlanganani, where you will find the next stop indicated as stop 5.

Hierdie afdeling is op Studente Uitbreiding 4 en die Terras oftewel The Terrace geleë. Hier vind jy die rakke wat 'n deel van die biblioteek se boekversameling huisves, wat jy meer as welkom is om te besigtig. Hierdie rakke sluit die vakke wiskunde, fisika, biologie, ingenieurswese en meer in.

Daar is ook rekenaars vir jou om te gebruik en talle lessenaars en studieruimtes in die area, sowel as badkamers langs die hysbak. Jy kan ook 'n library buddy sien wat in hierdie omgewing rondloop, so vra hulle gerus vir hulp -  maak nie saak waar jy in die biblioteek isnie.
Let ook daarop dat daar die kantore van die biblioteek se hoofbibliotekarisse langs die muur direk oorkant die trappe is. As jy ‘n behoefte het  om in 'n aparte ruimte te studeer, is jy welkom om een van die enkelpersoon-studiekamers langs die muur te gebruik. Sorg ook dat jy die legkaart- en
skaakstasies regoor die biblioteek dophou, dit is daar  vir jou om te gebruik wanneer jy 'n blaaskans nodig het.

Kom ons beweeg nou met die trappe op na The Terrace.

The Terrace het selfs meer lessenaars om by te studeer en boekrakke om te besigtig. Hierdie rakke sluit die vakke van ekonomie, filosofie, media en godsdiens in. Nog beter, die area is die tuiste van ons ontspanningsleesversameling aan die verste punt van die vloer. Ons het alles van Circe tot The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy en Atlas Shrugged. Daar is ook 'n skaakstel, so sit gerus en ontspan.

Om na die volgende ruspunt te gaan, neem die trappe agter jou, of die hysbak na Hlanganani, waar jy die volgende stop sal vind,  wat as stop 5 aangedui word.
