Roadmap for Eskom in a reformed electricity supply industry, 2019

The Minister of Public Enterprises has released the Roadmap for Eskom in a reformed electricity supply industry, 2019. "Minister Pravin Gordhan says Eskom cannot remain in its current structure and that the business model needs to be changed to eventually reach a stage where the country will have a stable electricity supply.

The Eskom that must emerge from these reforms must be capable, transparent, accountable, competitive  and world class. Government has a responsibility to mitigate the systemic risk that Eskom has become to  the  country."
