The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) 2019 has been republished in Government Gazette 42784. It replaces the unsigned version published in Gazette 42788. It is South Africa's policy plan for the power sector. The IRP is an electricity infrastructure development plan based on least-cost electricity supply and demand balance, taking into account security of supply and the environment (minimize negative emissions and water usage)."
