We have updated our library hours and study spaces in response to the announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 15 June 2021 of the shift to Lockdown Level 3. Read the full notice
The number of users is still capped as per national and institutional regulations, available in a designated area.
To enter the library, please produce your student card and the result of your UCT Daily Health Screening App. Wear a face mask at all times.

Study Spaces outside the Library
More study spaces have been made available on campus for Day Students. Students will be able to book a space in the venues up to seven days in advance by logging onto the UCT Resource Booker App
Other updates
- Our managed loans service and the scan & email service resumed at all libraries from Wednesday 5 May 2021.
- Book collections will be done by appointment only.
- Offsite book collections at the Burnage collection point resumes on Friday 7 May 2021.
