Stop 2: The Main Reading Room
This section is known as the Main Reading Room. From here, you can access all other sections of the library, and make use of several different services.
Some of these services include: the circulation or loans desk, where the helpful library staff can answer queries and help you check out books; the self-checkout machine next to the turnstile, where you can check out your books all on your own; and the free books table. This section also functions as a study space, with chairs, desks and comfy couches scattered about. Also take note of the section upstairs where the desks have a view over the Reading Room.
The books on the shelves are only a small proportion of the books available for your use. Visit the library website to access the large collection of e-books and journals.
To move on to the next stop, move away from the circulation desk to the far end of the room, where you will find the next stop indicated as stop 3.

Stop 2: Die Leeskamer
Hierdie deel van die biblioteek is bekend as die HoofleeskamerLeeskamer/studeerkamer (Main Reading Room). Hiervandaan kan jy al die ander dele van die biblioteek bereik en die beskikbare geriewe endienste gebruik.
Hierdie geriewe en dienste sluit in: die uitleentoonbank – hier kan jy ook hulp kry by die vriendelike biblioteekpersoneel; daar is ‘n masjien langs die draaihekkie waar jy self jou boeke kan uitneem en daar is ’n tafel met gratis boeke. Hierdie saal is ook ‘n studeerruimte – daar is tafels, stoele, ’n paar rekenaars, en gerieflike leunstoele. Daar is ook ’n gallery met lessenaars wat uitsig het oor die leeskamer.
Die boeke op die rakke is maar net ’n klein gedeelte van die biblioteek se voorraad. Die meeste boeke is deesdae aanlyn beskikbaar op die biblioteek se webwerf, net soos die aanlyn akademiese tydskrifte.
