Your new Library Learning Lounge is ready and waiting!
The world of education is transforming and we’re dedicated to providing our tech savvy students with spaces that inspire creativity, discovery, collaboration and innovation.
Imagine a library space without books but with amazing virtual services and experts on hand to support you to find the information needed for that essay, project, or tut. The LLL is a bring-your-own-device space on the Engineering Mall in front of the newly completed Snape Building on upper campus.
Its walls and flexible furniture are decked out in a fresh colour scheme, with bookable pods to get together in groups to collaborate; or just relax in a comfortable corner; or perch at the counter tables looking onto the pedestrian mall. Make use of a wide range of self-help tools and technologies or ask for help from our Librarians who have a wide range of information-seeking and knowledge management skills. The entire venue is wifi enabled with power-points for electronic devices.
Keep watching for announcements of inspiring and innovative events that this space will bring your way.
The Library Learning Lounge is an extension of the UCT Libraries, a great place to gain knowledge through inspiration and learning.
The Library Learning Lounge will be open to students from 10h00 Monday 16 Feb.
