What is the Library Learning Lounge?
The Library Learning Lounge is a modern study space open to students inside Chris Hani Building, repurposed as a contemporary learning space.

Main study space
The open floor plan seats 70 people and has zones for collaborative and individual study needs, with an acoustic ceiling to dampen noise. Be greeted by comfy study pods, footrests and leisure areas to focus or relax.

Training Room
The training room seats 14 people and has two whiteboards for brainstorming your next project or for meet-ups.

Research Commons
The Research Commons seats 10 people and is reserved for Masters and PhD students from the Scienc . Please email lib-ri@uct.ac.za for access-related queries. All other Masters & PhD students are welcome to use the Research Commons in the Chancellor Oppenheimer Library.

Chris Hani Building, Level 4, University Avenue North, Upper Campus
Directions
From University Avenue, start walking north towards the end of the road. Chris Hani Building will be on your left after the John Day Building.
Wheelchair-friendly access is available via lift and ramp inside the Chris Hani Building.
