Using the Library
UCT Libraries contain world-class repositories of knowledge and up-to-date research. Here's 5 ways you can get the most out of this fantastic resource.
Did you know your student or staff card is also your library card? Remember to carry it with you to gain access to the Libraries, borrow items, and use it to make photocopies and print in all Libraries.
Visitors are welcome to use our Libraries on a day-to-day basis. Refer to our access and membership page for more information.
Request books online via Primo for collection at the Loans Desk. You may also use our self-service machines or ask a friendly staff member at the Loans Desk for assistance.
Students can borrow up to 6 items at a time if they are an undergraduate or 12 if they are a postgraduate. Refer to our borrowing rules for more information.
